Que significa MEXICO / what does it means MEXICO

Hoy me preguntaron unos extranjeros en condesa ¿Qué quiere decir "México"? Me dio orgullo que aun no siendo pero sintiéndome Mexicano pudiera responder con certeza que la palabra México es idéntica en muchas lenguas, tales como la Mixteca, Otomí, Pame y Tarasca. Se compone de tres vocablos náhuatl: "Metx(tli)", que significa luna, "xic(tli)", que quiere decir ombligo, y "co", que se traduce como "en". Por lo tanto, México significa, literalmente, "En el  Ombligo de la Luna". asi que pense postearlo por si alguno no lo sabe, ya que nos hacen el favor de visitarnos de todos lados del mundo, quise así como lo hice en la tarde junto a un cafe express cortado ;-) compartir esta hermosa etimologia Mexica..

Today  a few foreigners asked me in La Condesa  what does mean "Mexico"? Pride of myself  even without being but feeling Mexican could answer with certainty that the word Mexico is identical in many languages, such as the Southern Mexico, Otomí, Pame and Termagant. its  composes of three words náhuatl: " Metx (tli) ", that means moon, " xic (tli) ", thats means  belly button, and "co", thats translated like "in". Therefore, Mexico means, literally, " In the belly button of the Moon ". So  i tought to post it, just in case someone does´nt  know it, bcz alot of poeple make us the favor to visit from arround the world, I wanted as well as i did  in the evening next to a coffee to share this beautiful etymology Mexica..
